Results on the Boliden validation case

This report summarizes the experience from the stealth excitation experiments with the flotation process in Garpenberg. Also the implementation in Expert Optimizer of a stealth excitation function is described. It shall be noted that it is not a general implementation; rather it is tailored for this site.

Least costly detection in industry

This deliverable aims at extending the results of (Mesbah and Bombois, 2012) on diagnosis and on experiment design for diagnosis towards applications in the industry. Indeed our previous results were limited to SISO systems operated by a linear time-invariant controller. Consequently, an extension towards multivariable (MIMO) systems operated with a MPC controller seems attractive and will be the main objective of this document.

Matlab software for automated tuning of MPC systems

The final deliverable in work package 5 presents the technical progress in the area of robust and automated tuning for model-based operation support systems. As tuning parameters, only the weighting matrices in the cost function are considered. The tuning methods and related algorithms being investigated are based on the frequency-domain information.

Report on adaptive model refinement

In Task 2.2 of the Autopro t project, a critical examination of nonlinear model structures reported in literature should be undertaken. The goal is to assess their potential for an incremental model adaptation driven by model suitability measures and closed-loop performance measures.
